Embarques RD ("we", "us", "our") operates the Embarques RD application and website used to manage international shipments between the United States and the Dominican Republic. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle, how we use it, and your choices.

Who uses this app

Embarques RD is an operations app for our staff and clients. Access requires a login and is limited by user role. Roles include: admin, client, pickup crew, and delivery crew. Each role only sees the information needed for its tasks.

Information we collect

Depending on your role and use of the app, we may collect and process:

• Account and login information (name, email address, password, user role).
• Client, sender, and receiver details: names, phone numbers, and addresses.
• Shipment information: items, pieces, pickup and delivery details, and tracking status.
• ID photos of senders and/or receivers, when required to verify a shipment.
• Photos of items/shipments taken during pickup or delivery.
• Pickup and delivery signatures.
• Payment records: amounts, methods, balances, invoices, and receipts. We do not store full credit/debit card numbers in the app.
• Internal messages exchanged between authorized users about an order.
• Basic technical data related to your session, app usage, and offline synchronization.

Camera and photos

The app may request access to your device camera to take photos (for example, ID verification, item/shipment photos, or scanning a shipment number). Photos are used only for the shipment they relate to, and the camera is used only while you actively use these features.

Offline use and synchronization

The app can work offline. Actions you take while offline (such as photos, signatures, payments, or messages) are stored on your device and synchronized to our servers when your connection returns.

How we use your information

We use the information to manage shipments, pickups, and deliveries; record payments, balances, invoices, and receipts; capture proof of pickup and delivery (photos and signatures); enable messaging and tracking between authorized users; and operate, secure, and improve the app.

Sharing and visibility

We do not sell your personal information. Information is visible only to authorized users according to their role (for example, staff, assigned crew, or the client who owns an order). We may share data with service providers that host or operate our systems, and where required by law.

Security

Data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections, and access is restricted by login and user role. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

You may contact us to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. Some information may be retained where we are required to keep it.

Children

The app is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
